ABOUT ME

Hello,

My name is Jason and I am an artist and teacher in various forms of media and subjects.

MUSICIAN / MUSIC INSTRUCTOR

I began taking piano lessons when I was five years old and continued for about 5 years. As a result of those early lessons, music has become a continuing part of my life.

Since then, I have pursued interests with various other instruments and continue to bring that same interest and passion into all of the services that I provide.

I began teaching myself the acoustic guitar followed by an array of instruments. Including:
       Guitars: Acoustic, Electric, Bass
       Drums and Bodhran
       Harmonica
       Dulcimers and Ukelele
       Violin and Mandolin

I wanted to share that same interest and passion I had for learning music by teaching others, so I began teaching students of different ages. My students have ranged from ages 4 to 74 years old. I am interested in teaching any child or adult that has a desire to learn music.

I have over 20 years of musical experience and have been teaching others,I have taught privately and at various studios, for over 15 years. I am currently teaching privately at my studio, located in the Groveland area and online.

TUTOR

I was home-schooled from kindergarten through high school, which gave me the opportunity to gain knowledge in a large variety of topics. This has allowed me to teach every subject for which I have been requested from Algebra and Accounting to Chemistry and Biology.

When I first started tutoring, I had just started ninth grade and my first student was for a college physics class. Since then I have tutored nearly every grade, from Kindergarten to Doctorate Courses, and subject, including everything from Calculus to Painting and English to Music.

My studio is located in the Groveland area, but I also teach online, if necessary.

PHOTOGRAPHER

I am a professional photographer specializing in all forms of photography. I have been taking photographs ever since I was able to hold a camera. However, I 'officially' started taking photographs when I was about 10 years old and my father handed down to me his antique Olympus film camera.

When I first started my photography business in 2002, I knew I loved photographing people of all types, so I never wanted to limit myself to one area of Portraiture like many other photographers. This way I am open to photograph all subjects and styles, so I can provide all of your needs at one convenient location.

One of my favorite things about portrait photography is to meet so many new people, getting to hear their stories, and building friendships along the way. Once you decide to book a photo session, I look forward to meeting you and capturing your precious moments!

Equipment: I shoot mainly digital photographs on a Canon 5D MK II, which is the leading industry standard and is even used for films and television. I also have 35mm and medium format film cameras.

Studio: My studio is located in the Groveland area. Since the property is in a rural area, I have a variety of nature, industrial, and rustic outdoor locations. I also have indoor studio spaces with a variety of backdrops.

FILM MAKER

Film Making has long been a passion of mine and my brother's, since we were children. We own two of our own production companies. We work on projects from commercials to feature films.

Together we provide all aspects of the film making process, from writing and pre-production all the way through to editing and post-production.

ARTIST / ART INSTRUCTOR        While I do have a degree in Art, I feel that Art is a continual learning process, so I have continued to develop my skills in various mediums and always try to challenge myself with new and different projects.

One of my murals can be seen at the Groveland Historical Society Museum.
